As the pro season winds down, the offseason is a great time to start thinking about next year. But one thing we already know – disc golf is a hobby with benefits that last a lifetime!
At Hobby Discs, we see that hobby as a lifestyle. It’s about getting outside, connecting with people, and sharing a game we love. Being part of Team Hobby goes beyond a single season.
Once You’re Aboard, You’re Part of the Crew
There’s no need to reapply each year – Team Hobby 4 Life! Keep being a good person, sharing disc golf with others, and helping this community grow.
We’re happy to complement any other team you’re on, too. If another team requires a closed bag, we understand – take a break from throwing our discs and think of us fondly until there’s room in your bag again. You’re still part of the crew! 🏴☠️
Meet Our Team Captains (So Far…)
As Team Hobby grows, we want to stay connected with each teammate and carry forward something that’s important to Matt the Owner: finding out what’s meaningful to you and helping you accomplish your goals, too.
Our captains will help keep those conversations going, giving each teammate someone to connect with as we grow. Each captain brings together people with different talents, passions, and goals to support one another and set shared goals for their regional crew.
Here’s who’s helping lead the way:
- Captain’s Captain: Travis “Snapple” Brown
- Captain of the East: Nick Blackwell
- Captain of the North: Ron Freeman
- Captain of the Great Lakes: Brandon Brenner

Over the next few weeks, our captains will be reaching out to teammates in their regions. Snapple and Rockin Robbie Bobby will connect with the rest of the crew!
We’ll share more as we continue building this out. We’re excited to see what each crew accomplishes and what we can all do together as Team Hobby!
